Message from CINEC
Dear Students, Teachers and Parents,
Spring is in the air and change is upon us. With the New Year celebrations behind us and with being over halfway through the school year, it is time to reflect on the goals we have made for ourselves. Have you made any resolutions and if so, how is your progress so far? For our Grade 12 students, change is inevitable, anticipated and often nerve-wracking as letters of offer arrive, determining the academic path for the next year and beyond. For our Grade 11s and Grade 10 students, we hope that they are continuing to strive to reach their short and long-term goals as well as feel that they are adapting to the BC program at their school. The British Columbia Program is world-renowned and the BC Offshore Program enables students around the globe to experience the education system that students in BC experience daily.
In this month’s newsletter and in the future issues, CINEC will explore the BC Program and why it is relative to our local and global society today. Also in this month’s issue, we explore the cherry blossom festivals in Vancouver this month and in April to celebrate the 40,000 cherry blossom trees in the city along with the cultural events and history that go along with them. At CINEC, we are enjoying the change in our physical environment as we welcome Spring. We look forward to receiving your stories and seeing photos from your local cherry blossom festivals this month.
Yours in education,
